Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Frank Foley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Urpo Buster!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Foley connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
A punch combination from Buster misses.
Horrible takedown by Buster or perhaps it was just good defense by Foley which made him look bad.
Buster closes the distance and clinches up with Foley, looking for a takedown. Buster pushes Foley against the cage but Foley circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Buster tries for a takedown but Foley sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Frank Foley has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Urpo Buster.
Buster shoots in looking for a takedown. Foley tries to sprawl out of it but Buster keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Foley manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Foley misses with a wild combination.
Foley lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Foley lands with a hook. Buster tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Foley misses with a two punch combination.
Buster slips a jab and a cross from Foley.
Foley throws a left and a right that both miss
and Buster counters with a nice double leg into side control. Foley won't be happy with that.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Buster is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Foley has escaped the position, nice work there.
Buster looks gassed!
Foley wants to control but Buster postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Buster working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Foley has one of Buster's arms on lockdown, trying to prevent him from doing any damage.
Foley manages to get back to half guard.
Foley moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Foley lands a couple of decent looking body shots there.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Buster forces his way into half guard.
Foley wants to get back to his feet.
Buster has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Foley defend it? Buster steps over the head and cranks it - Foley is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Buster!
