The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Skip Squint and Topper Green.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Smith Jnr does no damage.
Bullock doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Bullock bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Smith Jnr is not content to let Bullock control the position.
Smith Jnr seems a little lost for a moment, as Bullock dominates the positioning.

Smith Jnr changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Bullock fights it off and pushes away nicely.

That was a close round but I would say that Damien Smith Jnr will probably get the nod.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Bullock avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Bullock trying to control but Smith Jnr is working from the bottom.
Bullock got a little sloppy there for a moment and Smith Jnr has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Bullock has managed to get both his arms back between Smith Jnr's legs - danger averted.

Smith Jnr feints a jab promting Bullock to slip. Smith Jnr then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Bullock slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
