Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Semi Veainu (ranked 5436 p4p, 3927 weight class) and Uche Igwe (ranked 256 p4p, 209 weight class). Semi Veainu has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Semi Veainu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Uche Igwe!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Bart Greer and Winston Alpacca.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Igwe throws a shot from downtown. Veainu moves away and avoids it.
Igwe throws the left hand but Veainu avoids the punch easily.

Veainu drives through and clinches with Igwe against the cage.
Veainu misses with an elbow strike.

Igwe pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Veainu ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Igwe looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Igwe throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Veainu counters with a left and a right that stings Igwe.
Igwe jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Veainu takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Igwe lands a nice shot that snaps Veainu's head back.
Igwe swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Veainu gets a clinch.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Veainu wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Igwe keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Veainu's efforts to push away.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Igwe's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Veainu moves away from the strike by Igwe.
Veainu attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Uche Igwe is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Igwe misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Veainu.

Veainu closes the distance and clinches.
Veainu is trying to pull guard but Igwe has him pressed against the cage.
Veainu tries to land knees in the clinch but Igwe avoids the damage to the body.

Igwe breaks the clinch.
A telegraphed right hand from Igwe misses the target.
Nice body punch from Igwe.
Igwe throws a jab but it's blocked by Veainu.
Veainu is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Igwe throws out a counter right but Veainu avoids it with no problem.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Igwe lands a big right hand that sends Veainu crashing to the mat! Igwe stays standing though and waves Veainu back to his feet!

It looks like Semi Veainu has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A jab from Igwe misses.
Veainu drops down looking for a counter takedown but Igwe sprawls and moves away.
Igwe takes a swing at Veainu's ribcage but misses.
Igwe tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Veainu was well out of range. Poor timing from Igwe.
Igwe throws a jab but it's blocked by Veainu.
Veainu fails with the takedown

and Igwe counters with a nice right hand that sends Veainu toppling to the canvas! Veainu scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Igwe finish him?!

Veainu is rocked!
Igwe thows a left - swing and a miss!
Veainu shoots in looking for a takedown. Igwe tries to sprawl out of it but Veainu keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Igwe manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Semi Veainu. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Veainu defending well as Igwe loads up on a big left hand.

Veainu goes for a double leg but Igwe avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Igwe continues to drive forward.
Igwe has Veainu pushed against the cage.
Veainu is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Igwe pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Veainu tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Igwe smiles and moves away.
Veainu uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Igwe.
Veainu leaves his chin hanging out and Igwe seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Veainu crumbles to the floor in a heap, and the referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
