Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Silly Billy (ranked 2464 p4p, 2965 weight class) and Zayn Azi (ranked 176 p4p, 203 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Silly Billy!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Zayn Azi!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Kenichi Hosakawa and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Billy shoots in looking for a takedown but Azi manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Billy's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Azi throws a body punch but Billy moves out of range.
Billy throws a combination that misses

and Azi decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Billy's guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Billy escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Azi gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Billy definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Billy can't keep his opponent in guard - Azi advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Azi is pressing down on Billy's thigh, looking to free his foot. Billy is holding on for now.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Billy is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Billy is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Azi pulls his head out easily.
Azi is keen to just control but Billy is a slippery customer.

Azi working over Billy with some ground and pound. Billy looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Azi seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Billy does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Azi content to control rather than advance.
Azi wants to control but Billy is keeping him busy.
Azi prevents Billy from improving his position.
Azi is keen to just control but Billy is a slippery customer.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Azi tries to clinch up but Billy circles away and keeps his distance.
Azi moves out of range as Billy strikes.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Azi takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Billy throws a right hand that Azi ducks under and follows up with a left that Azi also avoids with ease.
Nice takedown defense from Billy. No joy for Azi on that attempt.

Billy tries to sprawl but Azi drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Billy manages to get to full guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Azi wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Billy's closed guard. He's half up but Billy has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Billy pivots and extends the arm, Azi falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Billy! Well done that man!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Silly Billy!
Silly Billy is the new featherweight champion!
Silly Billy was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
