Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wes Milton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Hoar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Milton's entrance music is Riotmaker. A fine choice. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Milton shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Milton was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Milton avoids the attempt from Hoar to control. Hoar is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Milton dominating with strikes here. Milton trying to control but he's not successful this time. Milton takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee stands the fighters back up. Wes Milton just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Milton walks into a stiff left hand from Hoar.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Milton fails with a takedown attempt. Milton tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Hoar lands a jab-cross combination.

Hoar is trying to keep an underhook but Milton manages to get the takedown into half guard. Hoar tries to kick Milton off but Milton keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Hoar moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Milton prevents Hoar from getting back to his feet. Hoar pushes Milton off and gets back to his feet.
Hoar closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Milton tries to get out of the position. Hoar connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Milton some visible discomfort.
Hoar thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Hoar is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Milton is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Hoar tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Hoar has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Hoar working away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Milton keeping his opponent close. Milton is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Hoar working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Milton is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Hoar off and has taken his back! Milton throws a series of strikes and Hoar wriggles onto his back, so he's now mounted. He's in real trouble here. Hoar tries to get back to half guard but can't. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Steve Hoar dominated that round. The cut man is working on Wes Milton's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Milton wants to pass the guard but Hoar is keeping the position. The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Hoar. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man. Milton with a flurry of punches that miss. Hoar is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. Hoar is pressed up against the cage. Milton has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Hoar down to the mat. Hoar avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Hoar circles away from the clinch attempt.

Hoar lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Hoar fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Hoar gets caught flat footed, as Milton shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Milton knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hoar on the ground. Milton wants to control from the top but Hoar keeps moving. Hoar is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Milton is controlling him. Hoar wants to improve his position but instead Milton has moved into half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Milton has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Hoar tries to buck Milton off but he can't manage it. Milton controlling the position easily from mount. Hoar throwing hammer fists to the chest of Milton. What's that going to do exactly? Hoar wants to hold on but Milton pushes him away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Milton is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Hoar can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Milton takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. BOOM! Milton connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Hoar comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Hoar looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Milton shoots and misses and Hoar counters with a one-two to the body. Hoar showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Milton.
Hoar with a lazy takedown attempt and Milton counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Milton. Milton prevents the takedown attempt.
Wes Milton has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Steve Hoar. Milton gets a trip takedown into half guard. Hoar is trying to stand.
Hoar tries to get to full guard but Milton has control of the leg. Milton content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Milton wants to control but Hoar is keeping him busy. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Hoar is looking to control Milton's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Hoar avoid being mounted? Hoar looks like he's trying to stand up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Hoar tries to roll over but Milton keeps him under control.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Milton clinches with his opponent.

Hoar wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Milton keeps control of Hoar as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Milton prevents Hoar from breaking the clinch. Hoar jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Milton walks away with a smile on his face. Hoar gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Milton with a lazy takedown attempt and Hoar counters with a series of strikes. Milton will be more careful next time no doubt. Hoar gets caught flat footed, as Milton shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Milton trying to control the position from guard on top but Hoar is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Milton is looking to work some ground and pound but Hoar has wrist control. Milton slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Hoar wriggles free and stands up. Milton fails with a takedown attempt. Hoar moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Hoar shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Milton as he avoids it easily. Milton shoots in for a takedown but Hoar shows good takedown defense. Milton fails with a takedown attempt. Horrible takedown by Milton or perhaps it was just good defense by Hoar which made him look bad. Hoar scores with a one two! Milton had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Milton scores a takedown into full mount! Hoar is looking to improve his position but Milton isn't that keen on the idea. Hoar wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
And that's the end of the fight! Wes Milton showed his dominance in that final round. I think Milton has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
