Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eugenio Roth (ranked 3425 p4p, 23848 weight class) and Un Kha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Kha's choice of entrance music: Eye of the tiger. Un Kha will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Eugenio Roth!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 36 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Un Kha!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Nard Betker and Daniel Blasius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kha fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Roth to the ground. Kha is now in Roth's guard.
Kha is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Kha wants to control from the top but Roth keeps moving.
Kha might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Roth haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Kha trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Roth is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Roth looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Kha is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Roth is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Roth has escaped and now he's on top!

Roth's corner is telling him to maintain position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Roth wants to control from the top but Kha keeps moving.
Kha tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Kha is looking to stand up but Roth isn't so interested in that idea.
Kha seems keen to control Roth's posture.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Roth passes Kha's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Roth connects with a nice short shot to Kha's temple.

Kha is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Roth wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kha keeps working.
Roth looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.

Roth passes into side control, despite Kha's attempt to control the position.
You can see the frustration on Kha's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Roth staying calm.
Kha wants to get back to his feet.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Kha fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
As Kha looks to move away, Roth throws a big counter combo but Kha just gets out of the way.
Kha closes this distance looking for a takedown but Roth circles away.
Roth appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
Roth lands with a nice body kick.
Kha looks winded!
Kha is trying hard to land a takedown here. Roth sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
As Kha looks to move away, Roth throws a big counter combo but Kha just gets out of the way.
Eugenio Roth has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Un Kha.

Roth shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Roth has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Roth seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Kha goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Roth rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Kha's guard! Nice work there by Roth!
Roth sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Kha's guard.
Roth is thwarting Kha's attempts to control the position.

Roth prevents Kha from improving his position.
Kha pushes Roth off looking to stand but Roth dives back in and keeps control.
Kha is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Roth's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Roth's back!

Kha working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet.
Roth manages to reverse the position and now he's in Kha's guard. Nice work there by Roth.

Kha looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Kha is breathing heavily.
Kha keeping moving, preventing Roth from controlling successfully.
Kha wants to sweep but no luck.
Roth in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Roth throws an elbow that misses. Kha uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Roth's guard. Nice move by Kha!

Kha looking to sit in guard and control but Roth gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Roth trying to control the position from guard on top but Kha is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Roth won't allow Kha to sweep him here.
Roth slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Kha is striking off his back. Roth thinks nothing of it though and passes easily into half guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Un Kha will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's time! Back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Kha looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Kha throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Kha shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Roth as he avoids it easily.
Roth went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Kha closes this distance looking for a takedown but Roth circles away.
Eugenio Roth has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Un Kha.
Roth stuffs the takedown.
Roth fires out a quick counter leg kick but Kha just manages to avoid it.
Kha has his takedown stuffed
and Roth counters with a three punch combo that has Kha backing up. Kha nods at Roth to acknowledge the strikes.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Roth throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Kha tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Roth is in Kha's guard.
Roth is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Kha takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Roth cracks Kha with a solid left hand.

Roth decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Kha, up you get!

Kha gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Roth to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Kha can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Roth controls the pace.

Roth's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Eugenio Roth overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Roth is trying to control. Kha wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Horrible takedown attempt by Kha or perhaps it was just good defense by Roth, which made it look bad.

and Roth counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Roth.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Kha pulls Roth in close to prevent any damage.
Kha controls Roth momentarily but Roth frees himself.

And that's the end of the fight!
Eugenio Roth showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Roth has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
