Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Wesley Clark (ranked 1262 p4p, 1622 weight class) and Sao Alela (ranked 156 p4p, 203 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Alela's choice of entrance music: Cryin' Like a Bitch. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clark throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Clark tests Alela's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Alela swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Clark moves into the clinch.
Alela stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Alela misses with an elbow over the top.
Alela misses with a short punch on the inside.
Clark misses with a hook to the ribs.

Alela has hold of one of Clark's legs. Clark is fighting the takedown attempt but Alela gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Clark escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Alela gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Clark shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Alela eats them both and turns towards Clark to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Alela shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Clark pinned against the cage. Clark gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Alela shoots in looking for a takedown. Clark tries to sprawl out of it but Alela keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Clark manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Nice uppercut lands for Alela. That snapped Clark's head back.
Alela connects with a single shot there.
Clark wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Alela has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Clark finds it's way round the side to connect with Alela's head.

and Clark counters with a head kick that drops Alela to the mat! Alela scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!

Clark connects with a superb combination that knocks Alela out cold! The referee charges across the mat and tackles Clark before he can land any more shots to the unconscious Alela!
