Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Maxim Alexandrov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Preved Medvedov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Preved Medvedov has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Maxim Alexandrov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Preved Medvedov! The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Vladimir Khabensky and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Alexandrov fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Medvedov circles away from the clinch attempt.
Medvedov shoots in for a takedown but Alexandrov shows good takedown defense. Medvedov throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Alexandrov's waist but Alexandrov gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Medvedov off to one side. Medvedov closes the distance and clinches up with Alexandrov, looking for a takedown. Medvedov pushes Alexandrov against the cage but Alexandrov circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Maxim Alexandrov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Preved Medvedov. Medvedov shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Medvedov was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Alexandrov might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Alexandrov tries to lock up and control but Medvedov gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Medvedov misses with a head shot. Alexandrov reaches up to try and control the position but Medvedov seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Alexandrov rolls and tries to escape and now Medvedov has his back!
Alexandrov is trying to get back to his feet but Medvedov has full control of the position and if anything, Alexandrov has just worked his way into a worse spot. Alexandrov tries to escape but Medvedov has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Alexandrov is working hard here to advance position. Medvedov doesn't have the hooks in and Alexandrov manages to turn into his guard.
Alexandrov is breathing heavily. Alexandrov throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Medvedov works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Medvedov moves into the clinch. Medvedov manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Alexandrov wants to pass the guard but Medvedov is keeping the position. Medvedov wants to sweep here but Alexandrov controlling him for the moment. Medvedov is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Medvedov manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Alexandrov manages to get himself to full guard.

The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Alexandrov looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Alexandrov! Medvedov is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Alexandrov decides to stand back up. Nice takedown defense from Medvedov. No joy for Alexandrov on that attempt. Medvedov closes this distance looking for a takedown but Alexandrov circles away. Medvedov shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Alexandrov pinned against the cage. Alexandrov gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Alexandrov throws a right and a left that Medvedov avoids nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Medvedov closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Medvedov wants to free his trapped foot but Alexandrov is holding on for dear life with his legs. Alexandrov tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Alexandrov wants to improve his position but Medvedov is controlling well.

Alexandrov keeping moving, preventing Medvedov from controlling successfully. Medvedov passes easily into side control. Nice work. Alexandrov tries to improve position but can't. You can see the frustration on Alexandrov's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Medvedov trying to control the action but Alexandrov is working from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Preved Medvedov dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Alexandrov throws a nice looking combination but Medvedov bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Alexandrov darts in trying to clinch and Medvedov counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Medvedov trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Alexandrov wants to get back to his feet but Medvedov is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Medvedov seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Alexandrov is looking to stand up but Medvedov isn't so interested in that idea.
That's one minute gone in the round. Medvedov passes into half guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Medvedov is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. The fighters are battling for position here. Alexandrov manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Medvedov advances position into side control! Medvedov tries to advance to mount but Alexandrov denies him. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Alexandrov can't do much from the bottom here. Medvedov wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Alexandrov, who protects the arm well. Alexandrov is trying to get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Alexandrov's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Alexandrov seems a little lost for a moment, as Medvedov dominates the positioning. Alexandrov is trying to get back to half guard.

A head punch on the inside from Alexandrov fails to land. Alexandrov swings wildly with an uppercut but Medvedov uses good head movement to avoid it. Medvedov wants to break the clinch but can't.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Medvedov wants to control the pace but Alexandrov is squirming around nicely. Alexandrov is trying desperately to improve position. Medvedov avoids the attempt from Alexandrov to control. Alexandrov is desperately trying to improve his position but Medvedov has a good base and remains in mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Medvedov manages to capitalize on a mistake by Alexandrov to take his back! Alexandrov manages to reverse the position and now he's in Medvedov's guard. Nice work there by Alexandrov.
Alexandrov keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Medvedov's head. Alexandrov content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Medvedov working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Alexandrov doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Alexandrov manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Alexandrov gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

That's going to take a lot out of Preved Medvedov. Medvedov closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Medvedov breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Medvedov shoots in for a takedown but Alexandrov shows good takedown defense. Medvedov keeps the fight on the outside. Maxim Alexandrov has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Medvedov drives through and clinches with Alexandrov against the cage.

And that's the end of the fight! Preved Medvedov comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Medvedov winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
