Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Arthur Pugsley (ranked 1995 p4p, 4206 weight class) and Gemechu McKraken (ranked 0 p4p, 244 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 11 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Arthur Pugsley! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 28 - 17 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Gemechu McKraken! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pugsley looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. McKraken trying to control here.
McKraken is trying to get back to full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. McKraken trying to control from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. McKraken might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Pugsley haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. McKraken taking some punishment here, with Pugsley in his half guard. McKraken is controlling Pugsley's position as best he can from this difficult position.
That's one minute gone in the round. McKraken works his way to full guard. Good work. Pugsley throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Pugsley postures up in McKraken's guard and throws a big left but McKraken blocks it. Pugsley preventing the sweep. Pugsley trying to control but McKraken is working from the bottom. McKraken is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Pugsley is aware though and is defending well. McKraken escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Pugsley gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. McKraken wants to sweep here but Pugsley controlling him for the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pugsley postures up and lands a big shot to McKraken's brow. Pugsley with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. McKraken trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! McKraken is striking off his back. Pugsley thinks nothing of it though and passes easily into half guard. Pugsley seems to be looking for submissions.
Pugsley wants to control but McKraken is keeping him busy. We've been hearing that Pugsley has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. Pugsley is looking to advance position but McKraken won't allow it. Pugsley prevents McKraken from improving his position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McKraken keeps trying to improve his position. McKraken throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
McKraken trying to hold on to Pugsley's head to control him but Pugsley postures up.
McKraken gets back to full guard.
Pugsley looking to sit in guard and control but McKraken gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. McKraken is looking to work some ground and pound but Pugsley has wrist control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pugsley looking for a guillotine here but McKraken defends easily.

McKraken working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Arthur Pugsley dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Pugsley darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. McKraken makes his way to full guard. A much better position for McKraken. McKraken is looking to sweep but instead, Pugsley has passed into half guard.
McKraken is defending against the submission attempts here by Pugsley.

That's one minute gone in the round. Pugsley is sneakily working for an arm triangle but McKraken sees it coming and defends easily. Pugsley lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. McKraken moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. McKraken bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Pugsley's guard. McKraken won't allow Pugsley to sweep him here. McKraken is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Pugsley looking for submissions from the bottom but instead McKraken passes into half guard.
Pugsley is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that McKraken can do to turn this around? McKraken passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Pugsley!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pugsley wants to control but McKraken is having none of it. McKraken is in the full mount, landing strikes. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, McKraken cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Pugsley gets back to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pugsley wants to improve his position but McKraken is controlling well.
McKraken wants to control but Pugsley is keeping him busy. Pugsley makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Pugsley. McKraken tries to free his leg and advance position but Pugsley is retaining full guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! McKraken trying to control the position from guard on top but Pugsley is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Pugsley is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and McKraken defends well. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Gemechu McKraken will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round! McKraken avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Pugsley throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. McKraken was covering up waiting for the punch and Pugsley finishes the takedown easily into guard. McKraken is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. McKraken is trying to hold Pugsley in close to prevent damage but Pugsley has managed to pass into half guard.

Arthur Pugsley overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Pugsley wants to control from the top but McKraken keeps moving. McKraken not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Pugsley trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. McKraken can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Pugsley controls the pace. McKraken trying to control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Pugsley landing with the ground and pound. McKraken is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Pugsley is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. McKraken looking to control but Pugsley passes into half guard.
Pugsley prevents McKraken from improving his position. Pugsley landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are battling for position here. McKraken manages to regain full guard. Nice work. There's a bit of a scramble here and now McKraken is on top in guard.
Pugsley is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. McKraken avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
McKraken slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Check out the look on McKraken's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
McKraken wants to lay and pray for a moment but Pugsley keeps working. McKraken is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Pugsley is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Pugsley tries to bench press McKraken off him but McKraken keeps the position.
And that's the end of the fight! Arthur Pugsley showed his dominance in that final round. I think Pugsley has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
