Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ginger Yoo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Spahr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Spahr is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Fight Inside. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ginger Yoo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mike Spahr! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Frank Dennis and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Spahr changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Yoo tries to avoid it but Spahr manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Yoo to the ground. Yoo escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Ginger Yoo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Spahr shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Yoo pinned against the cage. Yoo gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Spahr fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Yoo manages to avoid it. Yoo fails in his attempt to clinch. Spahr keeps the fight on the outside. Yoo lands a two punch combo.
Yoo tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Spahr was well out of range. Poor timing from Yoo. Spahr shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Yoo as he avoids it easily. Ginger Yoo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mike Spahr. Spahr ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Yoo shoots in but no luck this time. Yoo lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Spahr circles away quickly and effectively. Yoo tries to clinch there but Spahr circles away.
Spahr misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Spahr gets the takedown into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Yoo's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Yoo tries to improve position but can't. Yoo stuck in half guard on the bottom here. Yoo is looking for a sweep. Yoo looks to move to half guard but instead Spahr has passed into mount! Damn! Spahr should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Yoo is trying to escape the mount.

Yoo is squirming around, avoiding Spahr's attempts to control the action. Yoo tries to hold on but Spahr pushes him away. Yoo is in all sorts of trouble here.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Spahr wants to control the pace but Yoo is squirming around nicely. Yoo wants to hold on but Spahr pushes him away. Yoo squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.

Mike Spahr dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Spahr closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Yoo takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Yoo tries to buck Spahr off but Spahr is having none of it. Spahr trying to control the action but Yoo is working from the bottom. Spahr landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Spahr working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.

Mike Spahr showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

Nice sprawl there from Yoo as Spahr shoots in. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Spahr rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Yoo moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Spahr tries for a takedown but Yoo sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Ginger Yoo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mike Spahr. The fight stays on the outside here - Yoo looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Yoo misses with a combination
and Spahr counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Spahr takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Yoo has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Spahr is working away from the top position though. Yoo kicks off Spahr and gets to his feet. Yoo closes the distance looking to clinch and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Spahr misses with a jab to the body
and Yoo counters with a series of strikes. Spahr will be more careful next time no doubt. Nice straight punches there by Yoo. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Yoo. Yoo shoots for a double leg takedown but Spahr sprawls well. He's pushed Yoo's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Spahr scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Yoo doesn't seem bothered though. Spahr shoots in for a takedown but Yoo shows good takedown defense. Yoo tries to clinch up and Spahr counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Yoo takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Mike Spahr is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Yoo darts in trying to clinch and Spahr counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Spahr wants to take a breather but Yoo is having none of it. Yoo is trying to control but Spahr manages to pass to mount!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Spahr controlling the pace for now. Yoo regains half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The fighters are battling for position here. Yoo manages to regain full guard. Nice work. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Spahr prevents Yoo from getting back to his feet. Spahr controlling from the top position.
And that's the end of the fight! Mike Spahr comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Spahr has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
