The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Branko closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Branko lands in his opponent's guard.
Branko tries to free his leg and advance position but Carrillo-Moreno is retaining full guard.
Carrillo-Moreno is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Branko stands and throws Carrillo-Moreno's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Branko has hold of Carrillo-Moreno's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Carrillo-Moreno tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Branko cranks the arm and Carrillo-Moreno screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Carrillo-Moreno, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
