Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Andrew Lin (ranked 5716 p4p, 2860 weight class) and Slip Slide (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Slip Slide will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Andrew Lin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Slip Slide!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Dillan Fox and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lin tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Slide counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Slide's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Slide really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lin. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Lin trying to keep a closed guard but Slide is proving a slippery customer.
Slide sitting in guard here, content to control.
Lin might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Slide stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lin swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Slide is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Lin tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Slide paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Slide dives in and scores a takedown into Lin's guard.

Lin looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Slide stands and steps away. Lin gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

A head kick misses from Slide.
Slide throws a series of punches but Lin moves out of range.
Lin tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Slide manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Lin is fighting off a takedown attempt but Slide is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Lin to the mat. Lin regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Slide keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Lin's head.
Slide wants to pass the guard but Lin is keeping the position.
Slide is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Slide is stalling in the full guard.

Slide forces Lin back against the cage and clinches.

Slide has clasped his hands together around Lin's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.

Slide decides to stand up, so the ref orders Lin to his feet.

and Slide holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Slide has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Lin is trying to keep an underhook but Slide manages to get the takedown into half guard.

It looks like Slide is going to stand back up.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Slide lands a nice short elbow.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Slide is nestled in close to Lin, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Slide in particular looking to stall.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Lin wants to control but Slide is keeping busy.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Slide shoots in and gets a takedown into Lin's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Slide is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Slide scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Slide must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Slip Slide showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Lin bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!

Slide throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Lin tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Slide is in Lin's guard.

Lin wants to get back to his feet but Slide is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Lin can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Slide controls the pace.

Slide seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Slip Slide comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Slide has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
