Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Niko Ahola (ranked 4572 p4p, 4571 weight class) and Mikael Johansson (ranked 493 p4p, 492 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Niko Ahola!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mikael Johansson!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Aafke Stam and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ahola is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Ahola shoots in but no luck this time.
Johansson fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Ahola, pushing him back against the cage.
Johansson is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Ahola is trying to pull guard but Johansson has him pressed against the cage.
Ahola jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Johansson walks away with a smile on his face. Ahola gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Niko Ahola. That's going to take a lot out of him.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Johansson is pushing Ahola up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ahola changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Johansson fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Johansson throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Ahola looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Johansson is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.

Johansson shoots in and gets a takedown into Ahola's guard.
Johansson throws a big right hand that misses.
Ahola wants to get back to his feet but Johansson is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Johansson stands up from Ahola's guard - Johansson perhaps looking for a knockout.
Ahola tries to clinch but Johansson is having none of it.
Ahola looks to land a combination. Johansson sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Ahola changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Johansson tries to avoid it but Ahola manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Johansson to the ground. Johansson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Ahola shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Johansson pinned against the cage. Johansson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Johansson throws a counter combo.

Johansson defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Ahola.
Johansson is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Ahola is breathing heavily.
Ahola looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Johansson is fending him off so far but Ahola persists. Nope, Johansson circles away and we're back to standing.
Johansson closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Johansson lands in his opponent's guard.
Ahola is wriggling around but Johansson manages to pass to half guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Johansson passes to side control.
Johansson is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Ahola is not in a great position here, taking some shots.

Johansson stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Johansson takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Johansson swats away the attempt to clinch by Ahola.
Ahola shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Johansson closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Ahola looking for a takedown.
Johansson turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Johansson manages to end up in side control.
Ahola tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Johansson has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Ahola! Can he survive? No! He's out! Johansson gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Mikael Johansson!
