Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Harold Morse (ranked 25381 p4p, 2859 weight class) and Bob Joe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Morse has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Harold Morse has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 7 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Harold Morse!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Bob Joe!
The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Bart Greer and Dirk Anderson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Joe looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Joe is nestled in close to Morse, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Morse on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Morse really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Joe lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Morse is rocked!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Joe is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Morse has hold of Joe's hands but Joe slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Joe working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Joe winds up and cracks Morse with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Joe connects with a nice short shot to Morse's temple.

Joe seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Morse knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Joe on the ground.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Joe loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Morse scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Joe land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Joe stands and salutes the crowd.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bob Joe!
