Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Quentain Martell (ranked 491 p4p, 1086 weight class) and Tom Tomson (ranked 63 p4p, 140 weight class). Martell's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, I Pledge Allegiance (Nate Dogg ft. Pharoahe Monch). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tomson throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Tomson avoids the body shot from Martell.
Tomson looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Tomson throws a jab but it's blocked by Martell.
Tomson tests Martell's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Tomson will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Martell tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Tomson throws a jab when Martell was well out of range.

Martell throws a front kick that sends Tomson stumbling back into the cage.
Tomson misses with a hook. Martell ducked under it nicely.

Martell avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Martell is looking to counter with a shot to the body.

Martell fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
The fighters circling - Martell throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Tomson turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Tomson throws a hook to the side of Martell's head but Martell sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Tomson throws a poor cross that misses
letting Martell counter with a right hand.
Martell looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Martell shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Tomson lands a slapping body shot.
Martell sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Martell takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Tomson fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Martell on the side of the head.
Martell lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Good standup being displayed there by Tomson as he connects with a hook.
Martell is rocked!
Martell leaves his chin hanging out and Tomson seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Martell crumbles to the floor in a heap, and the referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
