Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Minatay Mibangon (ranked 23878 p4p, 23831 weight class) and Wala Sapi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 30 - 49 - 9, fighting out of Las Vegas, Minatay Mibangon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 41 - 40 - 8, fighting out of Las Vegas, Wala Sapi! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Alan Glass and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Sapi fails to land the takedown. Mibangon throws a quick counter kick to the body but Sapi avoids it. Mibangon shoots in looking for a takedown. Sapi tries to sprawl out of it but Mibangon keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Sapi manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nice sprawl there from Mibangon as Sapi shoots in. Mibangon quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mibangon drives through with a takedown into Sapi's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Sapi looking to hit a scissor sweep but Mibangon is one step ahead there. Mibangon controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Sapi wants to stand and escape but Mibangon is having none of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mibangon engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Mibangon advances to half guard. Mibangon is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Sapi is trying to get back to full guard.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mibangon fails to land the takedown. Sapi shoots in for a takedown but Mibangon shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Minatay Mibangon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Wala Sapi. Mibangon fails with a takedown attempt. Sapi is trying to counter with his kicks.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Sapi misses with a body shot.
Sapi closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Sapi slows the pace down in half guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Mibangon trying to control but Sapi postures up.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Minatay Mibangon will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Mibangon ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Sapi tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Mibangon defends well and Sapi ends up having to push Mibangon into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Mibangon appears to be looking for a big counter. Mibangon shoots in for a takedown but Sapi shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Sapi follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mibangon defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Sapi. Mibangon shoots in and bounces Sapi off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sapi can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Mibangon controls the pace. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sapi manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Mibangon manages to get himself to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Mibangon is pulling down on Sapi's head to control his posture. Sapi is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Mibangon seems keen to control Sapi's posture.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mibangon trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Sapi throwing strikes but missing. Sapi not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Well, if Sapi is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Mibangon shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Sapi follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land. Mibangon shoots in looking for a takedown. Sapi tries to sprawl out of it but Mibangon keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Mibangon is defended easily by Sapi. Sapi feints a counter leg kick. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Minatay Mibangon. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mibangon shoots and misses and Sapi counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Sapi shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Mibangon counters with a slapping leg kick. Mibangon gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Sapi to score an easy takedown into full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mibangon keeping full guard, as Sapi tries to pass. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Mibangon holds on and takes a little breather. Sapi controlling from the top position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sapi's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Sapi trying to control the position from guard on top but Mibangon is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Mibangon controlling the position.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Mibangon fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Sapi changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Mibangon stuffs the takedown attempt from Sapi. Sapi gets slowly back to his feet. Mibangon quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect.
And that's the end of the fight! Wala Sapi comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Sapi has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
