Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Higanti Libat (ranked 23596 p4p, 23868 weight class) and Way Nada (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 33 - 51 - 4, fighting out of Las Vegas, Higanti Libat! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 43 - 44 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Way Nada! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Wesley Smith and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Libat darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Libat content to control rather than advance. Nada slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Libat sitting in guard, not really doing much.
That's one minute gone in the round. Libat wants to control from the top but Nada keeps moving. Libat controlling from the top position. Nada is adopting a defensive guard.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Nada shoots for a double leg takedown but Libat sprawls well. He's pushed Nada's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Libat jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit. Nada shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Libat as he avoids it easily. Libat appears to be looking for a big counter. Libat throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Nada tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Libat is in Nada's guard. Libat controls from within his opponent's guard. Nada trying to keep a closed guard but Libat is proving a slippery customer.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Higanti Libat dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action! Nada looks for a takedown but Libat sprawls well. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Nada looks for a takedown but Libat sprawls well. Libat tries to buck Nada off but Nada is having none of it. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Libat escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Libat throws a quick counter kick to the body but Nada avoids it. Nada with a lazy takedown attempt and Libat counters with a thumping low kick. Nada dives in and grabs Libat's left leg, looking for a takedown. Libat pushes down on Nada's head and hops out. It appears Libat was looking to counter with a kick there. Libat darts in looking for a takedown but Nada gets double underhooks and turns Libat into the cage.

Nada avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Nada fails to pull the fight into his guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that Higanti Libat will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round! Nada looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Libat fails with a takedown attempt. Libat stuffs the takedown attempt from Nada. Nada gets slowly back to his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nada looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Libat tries to roll over but Nada keeps him under control. Nada content to control rather than advance. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Libat is looking for a sweep. Nada is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Still in half guard, Nada seems content to control. Let's hope that Nada has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Nada gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Libat to score an easy takedown into full guard. Libat got a little sloppy there for a moment and Nada has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Libat has managed to get both his arms back between Nada's legs - danger averted.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Libat is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Nada is wriggling around but Libat manages to pass to half guard.
Way Nada has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Higanti Libat is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Nada desperately trying to maintain half guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Libat sitting and controlling from the half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Higanti Libat. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Libat, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
