Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Higanti Libat (ranked 23596 p4p, 23868 weight class) and Way Nada (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 33 - 51 - 4, fighting out of Las Vegas, Higanti Libat!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 43 - 44 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Way Nada!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Wesley Smith and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Libat darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Libat content to control rather than advance.
Nada slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Nada shoots for a double leg takedown but Libat sprawls well. He's pushed Nada's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Libat jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.

Libat throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Nada tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Libat is in Nada's guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Nada thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Nada changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Libat tries to avoid it but Nada manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Libat to the ground. Libat escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Nada dives in and grabs Libat's left leg, looking for a takedown. Libat pushes down on Nada's head and hops out.

That was a close second round but I would say that Higanti Libat will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Libat is looking for a sweep. Nada is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Still in half guard, Nada seems content to control.
Let's hope that Nada has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Nada follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land.
Nada gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Libat to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Libat got a little sloppy there for a moment and Nada has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Libat has managed to get both his arms back between Nada's legs - danger averted.

Libat is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Nada is wriggling around but Libat manages to pass to half guard.
Way Nada has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Higanti Libat is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Higanti Libat.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Libat, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
