Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Paul Rechers (ranked 3847 p4p, 2825 weight class) and Emiliano Steele (ranked 260 p4p, 207 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Emiliano Steele!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, James Glass and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steele looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Rechers!
Rechers looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Steele trying to control the position but Rechers is working away.
Steele wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Rechers, who protects the arm well.
Rechers is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Steele takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Steele is taking a breather. Rechers says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Steele is trying to work for a kimura but Rechers is defending well.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Rechers throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

Steele seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Steele is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Rechers defends it well.
Steele really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rechers. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Steele is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Rechers sees it coming and defends easily.

Steele is keen to just control but Rechers is a slippery customer.

Steele passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Rechers!
Rechers is in all sorts of trouble here.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Steele cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Steele is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Rechers to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Rechers shrugs it off.
Steele content just to control the position here.

Rechers is rocked!

Steele lands a big shot to the head and Rechers winces in pain. He's tapped out due to strikes!
