PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Morrison Dickson (ranked 23100 p4p, 23023 weight class) and Boxing Powerhous (ranked 282 p4p, 281 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 26 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Morrison Dickson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 24 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Boxing Powerhous!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Tiny Johnson and Alan Glass.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed right hand from Dickson misses the target.
Powerhous tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Dickson paws at him with a jab and circles away.
It looked like Dickson was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Powerhous moves in looking to clinch but Dickson pushes him off.
Dickson throws a hook to the side of Powerhous's head but Powerhous sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Powerhous tries to close the distance and clinch but Dickson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Dickson misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Powerhous.
The fighters circling - Dickson throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
As Dickson backs off Powerhous throws a huge counter combo but Dickson manages to avoid it all.
Dickson lands a nice shot to the body.
Powerhous looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Powerhous swings for the body but Dickson moves out of range.
Powerhous takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Dickson sizes up Powerhous with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Dickson definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Dickson ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Powerhous tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Powerhous takes one to the side of the head.
Powerhous moves in looking to clinch but Dickson pushes him off.
Powerhous ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Dickson moves away.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Powerhous walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
A slow jab from Dickson misses its intended target.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Dickson with a nice cross.
Dickson connects with a single shot there.
Dickson jabs Powerhous to the body, keeping him at a distance.
A head kick misses from Powerhous.
Dickson clobbers Powerhous with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Dickson pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

Dickson scores a knockdown with a big right hand! Powerhous beats the count and gets back to his feet. The referee asks him to walk forwards and it appears he is OK so we'll continue the bout.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Dickson swats away the attempt to clinch by Powerhous.
Dickson jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Powerhous backs away from a small jab... but Dickson lunges forward with a huge superman punch! Powerhous crumples to the ground as his mouth piece is sent flying! Dickson with a spectacular finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Superman Punch). Morrison Dickson!
A very excited looking Morrison Dickson made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
