Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Amos Jones (ranked 4019 p4p, 25344 weight class) and Mamed Khalidov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mamed Khalidov is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Amos Jones! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mamed Khalidov! The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Lou da Vinci and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Khalidov throws a sloppy head kick and Jones counters with a series of strikes. Khalidov will be more careful next time no doubt. Khalidov misses with a wild combination.
Jones swings for the body but Khalidov moves out of range.
Khalidov misses with a wild body shot. Khalidov tries to clinch but Jones moves out of range. Khalidov doesn't manage to clinch there - Jones circles away.
Khalidov tries to clinch up but Jones circles away and keeps his distance. Jones throws a lazy head kick and Khalidov counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Khalidov fails with the takedown. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Khalidov fails in his attempt to clinch. Jones fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Khalidov to the ground. Jones is now in Khalidov's guard. Khalidov wants to get back to his feet but Jones passes into half guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Jones working Khalidov over with strikes.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones working the head and body with strikes. We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Khalidov has eaten all the pies! Jones lands with a punch from half guard. Jones is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Jones looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Jones lands strikes from half guard. Jones passes to side control. Khalidov tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Jones presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Jones scoring with strikes but Khalidov is staying in there. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jones looking to finish Khalidov with some ground and pound. This is bad for Khalidov! Jones lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Jones takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Khalidov looks winded! Jones working away from the top, dropping strikes. Jones in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Khalidov is in a horrible position here. Jones smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Khalidov really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jones. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Jones looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Jones cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Jones throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Khalidov has his hands clasped together but Jones breaks the hold and Khalidov is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Jones!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Amos Jones!
