The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stout moves in looking to clinch but Kingdad pushes him off.
Kingdad looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Stout is looking to clinch.
Kingdad throws a looping overhand right but Stout ducks down to avoid it.
Stout tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Kingdad manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Stout blocks a jab.
Stout closes the distance but Kingdad moves to the side
and Kingdad counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

It looks like Jaylen Stout has been cut.
Stout definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Stout wants to clinch up but Kingdad keeps it at a distance.
Jaylen Stout seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Stout tries to close the distance and clinch but Kingdad swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Stout avoids a punch combination nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
