Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Akimbo Slice (ranked 3753 p4p, 3740 weight class) and Danilo Zoric (ranked 392 p4p, 390 weight class). Akimbo Slice has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Akimbo Slice!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Danilo Zoric!
The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Peter Branson and Michael Johnstone.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slice throws a leg kick
and Zoric cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Slice shoots in looking for a takedown but Zoric manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Slice's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Slice has his takedown stuffed
letting Zoric counter with a right hand.

It looks like Akimbo Slice has been cut.
Slice fails with the takedown
and Zoric counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Akimbo Slice. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A swing and a miss from Zoric.
Slice tries for a takedown but Zoric circles away easily
letting Zoric counter with a right hand.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Zoric clinches up against the cage.
A short right from Zoric on the inside.
Zoric lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Slice backwards.
Slice tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Zoric just stands there and leans against the cage.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Zoric gets through Slice's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
A nice right hand lands inside from Zoric.
Zoric lands a hook that snaps the head of Slice backwards.
Zoric lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Zoric lands with a right to the head.
Zoric gets underhooks to prevent Slice's takedown attempt.
Zoric lands a left hand that snaps the head of Slice backwards.
Slice definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Zoric lands with a short shot to the head.
Zoric lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Zoric creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Slice is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Zoric lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Slice is breathing heavily.
A short right from Zoric.
Oh Slice is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Zoric lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Slice seems to have got his legs back now.

Zoric manages to break the clinch.

Zoric drops Slice with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Slice looks back up at him and smiles so Zoric waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Zoric lunges in with a left hook that violently twists Slice head around and knocks him out cold! Zoric hops onto the cage and yells out at the top of his lungs - Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaah! They're showing the replay on the big screens now; that was nasty! I hope one of the photographers got a good shot of it.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Danilo Zoric!

Akimbo Slice was interviewed post fight and said 'Naaah it's iight all W coming next'.
