Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Remy Leeuwenhoek (ranked 1759 p4p, 1396 weight class) and Danny Vargas (ranked 216 p4p, 171 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Danny Vargas was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vargas looks to land a left hand but Leeuwenhoek moved out of range nicely.
Leeuwenhoek half committed to a counter leg kick.
Leeuwenhoek looks to land a body kick but Vargas moved away.
Vargas swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Leeuwenhoek throws a wild body kick that Vargas sees coming a mile off.
Vargas takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Leeuwenhoek turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Vargas has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Danny Vargas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Leeuwenhoek will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Vargas might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

A nice leg kick from Leeuwenhoek, right into the meat of the thigh.
Leeuwenhoek cracks Vargas with a left hook right on the temple and Vargas goes down! He's out! Referee! Stop the fight! Leeuwenhoek lands a few more punches before the dopey ref steps in - hopefully Vargas is OK!
