Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dezzi Island (ranked 5143 p4p, 5656 weight class) and Kainalu Kekoa (ranked 452 p4p, 479 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Dezzi Island! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kainalu Kekoa! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, David Hoff and Peter Branson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kekoa tries to score with a low kick but Island moves his leg out of the way. Island lands a slapping body shot.
A looping hook to the body misses from Island. Kekoa does a little dance to reset his feet. Island misses with a series of wild punches.
Kekoa is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Kekoa throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Island has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Kekoa avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Kekoa throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Kekoa moves out of range as Island strikes. Island throws a hook but Kekoa blocks it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Island throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Kekoa sees it coming and avoids it easily. Kekoa tries to counter with a clinch but Island shakes him off and moves away. Kekoa with a poor takedown and Island connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Kekoa ducks under a wild hook from Island. Island looks to land a left hand but Kekoa moved out of range nicely. Kekoa just misses with a punch to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Island misses with a looping right. Kekoa drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Island defends it well. Kekoa avoids the body shot from Island.
Kekoa takes the fight into the clinch. Island gets underhooks to prevent Kekoa's takedown attempt.
Kekoa pulls Island into guard.
Island looking to pass the guard. Kekoa scrambles and gets back to his feet.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Kekoa. Dezzi Island has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kainalu Kekoa.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kekoa drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Kekoa is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Kekoa working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Island looking to control.

Island on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Island tries to get out of the position.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Island misses with a wild body shot. Kekoa clinches with his opponent.
Island is trying to push Kekoa away but Kekoa has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Island's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Kekoa closes the distance and clinches. Island looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Kekoa blocking some punches.
Island manages to break the clinch.
We've been informed that Kekoa has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kekoa ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Island sets himself, and Kekoa steps forward looking for the clinch! Island avoids it this time. Nice takedown defense from Island. No joy for Kekoa on that attempt. Island throws a series of punches but Kekoa avoids them all with ease. Island loads up on a big right hand but Kekoa slips the punch. Island looks to land a right hand but Kekoa moved out of range. Kekoa fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Island swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Island misses with a few strikes there.
Kekoa doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter. Kekoa ducks under a wild hook from Island. Kekoa fails with a takedown attempt. Dezzi Island is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Island loads up on a big right hand but Kekoa slips the punch. Island missing with a left hand there. Kekoa was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Dezzi Island dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. A telegraphed right hand from Island misses the target. Kekoa slips a straight right by Island. Kekoa looks for a takedown but Island sprawls well. Kekoa tries for a takedown but Island sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Kekoa uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Island. A little jabbing left from Kekoa on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Island moves out of range as Kekoa throws a body kick.

Dezzi Island is winning the standup battle so far. Kekoa dives in for a single leg takedown but Island sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Dezzi Island has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kainalu Kekoa. A looping hook to the body misses from Island. Kekoa does a little dance to reset his feet. Kekoa's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Island connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Kekoa scrambles back to his feet.
It looks like Kainalu Kekoa has been cut.
That's one minute gone in the round. Island throws a hook to the side of Kekoa's head but Kekoa sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Kekoa with the counter takedown but Island avoids it easily. Island throws out a loose jab but Kekoa uses good head movement to avoid it. Kekoa is looking for the big counter here. Island is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Kekoa can do to turn this around? Island slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Island cracks Kekoa with a hook to the temple - Kekoa is on wobbly legs here! Island swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Kekoa falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Island wins by TKO!
