Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Emmerson Mile (ranked 553 p4p, 1479 weight class) and Baariq Taïa (ranked 39 p4p, 31 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 14 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Emmerson Mile! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Baariq Taïa! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Phil Schofield and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Taïa shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mile has hold of Taïa's hands but Taïa slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Mile moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Taïa won't allow Mile to sweep him here. Taïa looking to sit in guard and control but Mile gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Mile trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Taïa keeping moving, preventing Mile from controlling successfully. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mile stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Taïa swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Taïa keeping moving, preventing Mile from controlling successfully. Mile stops Taïa from standing up. Taïa keeping full guard, as Mile tries to pass. Taïa controlling Mile's posture. Mile trying to control but Taïa is working from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Mile passes into half guard. Mile trying to mount his opponent but Taïa defends it. Taïa is trying to get back to full guard. Taïa trying to control but Mile postures up.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Mile definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Taïa drives through with a takedown into guard. Mile working a defensive guard here.
Mile wants to sweep but no luck.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mile has momentary wrist control but Taïa slips an elbow through the middle. Taïa working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Taïa has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Mile to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Taïa is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Mile pulls down on the head and he's put Taïa to sleep! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Emmerson Mile! Emmerson Mile decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
