Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cruz Laime (ranked 3501 p4p, 3079 weight class) and Zahar Krulov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Laime kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Chambea. The key to victory for Cruz Laime has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Cruz Laime! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Zahar Krulov! The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Winston Alpacca and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Laime moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Laime with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Nice sprawl there from Laime as Krulov shoots in. Laime drops down looking for a counter takedown but Krulov sprawls and moves away. Laime delivers a nice body kick. Laime falls off balance throwing a combination
and Krulov counters with a shoot takedown. Laime fights it but they end up in guard. Krulov lands a couple of digs. Krulov is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Krulov is working Laime over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Laime is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Krulov stands up over Laime, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Laime tries to land a sweep but no joy. Krulov lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Krulov sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Laime's guard. Ground and pound from Krulov. Krulov is nestled in close to Laime, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Krulov connects with a nice short shot to Laime's temple. Laime on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Laime is rocked! Krulov takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Oh Laime is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Laime wants to get back to full guard. Krulov is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Krulov scores with a big shot! Laime's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Laime! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Zahar Krulov! An out of breath Zahar Krulov thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career. In defeat, Cruz Laime stepped up to the mic, saying 'This ain't over yet...'.
