Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brock Lesnar (ranked 1072 p4p, 1166 weight class) and Jeff Christ (ranked 132 p4p, 140 weight class). Jeff Christ has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Brock Lesnar's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Brock Lesnar! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jeff Christ! The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Viktor Lagutenko and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lesnar lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
It looks like Jeff Christ has been cut. Christ fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Lesnar throwing a counter right hand but Christ manages to avoid it. Lesnar throws a sloppy head kick and Christ moves out of range easily. Lesnar misses with an uppercut. A big right from Lesnar misses. Christ closes the distance and clinches up with Lesnar, looking for a takedown. Christ pushes Lesnar against the cage but Lesnar circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Lesnar throws an off balance right hand
and Christ counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Christ. Lesnar is looking for a triangle but Christ pushes his legs off easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lesnar trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Christ with a flurry of punches that miss. Lesnar is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Christ is controlling him. Christ has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Christ trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Christ seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Christ scoring with punches to the head and body. Christ prevents Lesnar from getting back to his feet. That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Christ throws a strike but Lesnar rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Lesnar drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Christ dives on top into guard. Christ is in close to Lesnar's body, working some short punches and elbows. Lesnar is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Christ working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though. Lesnar not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Lesnar has his foot on Christ's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Christ works his way back into a safe position though. Lesnar is looking for a guillotine. A close round but Jeff Christ will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Jeff Christ's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Lesnar throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Lesnar scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Lesnar throws a right and a left that both miss. Christ shoots in for a double leg but Lesnar sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Lesnar went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Lesnar cracks Christ with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Christ tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Lesnar defends well and Christ ends up having to push Lesnar into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Lesnar appears to be looking for a big counter. Brock Lesnar is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Christ moves out of range of the strikes. Christ feints the counter takedown. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lesnar throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Christ sees it coming and avoids it easily. And Christ tries to counter it with a takedown but Lesnar pushes his down on his head and steps out. Lesnar defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Christ. Brock Lesnar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jeff Christ. Christ closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Lesnar to the mat! Lesnar manages to get full guard. Lesnar has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Christ is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lesnar pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Brock Lesnar is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Christ fails with a takedown attempt. Christ gets a double leg takedown into Lesnar's guard. Christ postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Lesnar wants to get back to his feet but Christ is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

No, Christ has managed to get both his arms back between Lesnar's legs - danger averted. Christ landing some decent shots from guard. Lesnar wants to stand up but Christ is controlling him. Christ chips away with some ground and pound. Christ is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Lesnar looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Christ in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Christ wants to control from the top but Lesnar keeps moving. Christ postures up and lands a big shot to Lesnar's brow. Christ is standing up over Lesnar. Lesnar looks to escape but Christ dives into side control.
Christ is looking to take a break and control but Lesnar is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Christ scores with a couple of short elbows.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lesnar tries to escape but Christ is in control. Lesnar manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Lesnar is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Sydney Top Team, so we'll see if he gets out of it. Lesnar wants to sweep but Christ has passed to side control! Lesnar wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Lesnar explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there! Lesnar lands with a nice body kick. Christ takes one to the chin there. Christ tries for a takedown but Lesnar sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Lesnar scores with a crisp jab that stopped Christ in his tracks. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Brock Lesnar dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Jeff Christ's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round! Lesnar throws a hook but Christ blocks it. Christ shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Lesnar as he jumps to the side. Christ takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Lesnar throws a jab when Christ was well out of range. Brock Lesnar is winning the standup battle so far. Christ misses with a lunging right hand
and Lesnar counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Christ uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Lesnar. Christ feints the counter takedown. Christ scores with a jab to the jaw. Christ bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lesnar tries to buck Christ off but Christ is having none of it. Christ wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lesnar keeps working. Lesnar wants to get back to his feet. Christ lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Lesnar down.
