These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Couture ducks under a wild hook from Igwe.
Couture takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

It looks like Xavierntreal Couture has been cut.
Couture blocks a jab.
A big right from Couture misses.
Igwe looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Couture throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Couture stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Igwe keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Couture.
A slow jab from Igwe misses its intended target.
Couture takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

letting Couture counter with a right hand.

and Igwe counters with a crisp right hand that drops Couture! Igwe lets Couture back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

Couture is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Couture takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Oh Couture is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Couture is breathing heavily.
Igwe lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Couture up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Igwe from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Couture's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.
