Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ricky Alvarez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Martin Burns!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, John Kavanagh and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burns moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Burns shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Burns takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Burns shoots in for a takedown but Alvarez shows good takedown defense.
Burns takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Burns looks winded!
Burns's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Alvarez connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Burns scrambles back to his feet.
Burns looks to land a combination but Alvarez avoids it well.
Burns walks into a jab.
Good standup being displayed there by Alvarez as he connects with a hook.
Burns is rocked!
Alvarez drives through and clinches with Burns against the cage.
Burns is still on wobbly legs! Can Alvarez finish him?
Alvarez softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Burns tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Ricky Alvarez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Martin Burns.
Alvarez tries to land a knee to the head but Burns blocks with his arms.
Alvarez escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Burns with a lazy takedown attempt
and Alvarez counters with a huge left! Burns is in big trouble! He's backing up but Alvarez isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Burns from any more damage. A dominating finish by Alvarez!
