Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mick Helm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Katsuo Watanabe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Helm as Watanabe shoots in.
Watanabe closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Helm manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Watanabe is looking to control Helm's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Watanabe avoid being mounted?
Watanabe moves into full guard.
Watanabe not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Helm postures up and lands a big shot to Watanabe's brow.
Watanabe wants to sweep here but Helm controlling him for the moment.
Helm wants to pass the guard but Watanabe is keeping the position.
Helm scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Watanabe is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Helm trying to control from the bottom.

Helm is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Helm could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Watanabe moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Helm.
Helm is breathing heavily.
Watanabe scores with a couple of short elbows.
Watanabe cracks Helm with a big right hand but Helm just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Watanabe trying to control the action but Helm is working from the bottom.
Watanabe tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Watanabe has hold of Helm's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Helm tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Watanabe cranks the arm and Helm screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Helm, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:03 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Katsuo Watanabe!
