The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Anderson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Toehold tries to avoid it but Anderson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Toehold to the ground. Toehold escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Toehold bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Score +4 for clean takedown past guard: Toehold (4) vs (0) Anderson Toehold working away. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Anderson is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Toehold is staying active. Anderson is trying to improve his position. Anderson is not content to let Toehold control the position. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
