The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way.
Fiachna goes for a double leg but Mesquita avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the ropes as Mesquita continues to drive forward.
Mesquita tries to counter with a takedown but Fiachna is quick to defend against it.

Fiachna tries to pull guard but Mesquita holds him up against the ropes and eventually Fiachna drops back down to his feet.
