The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Laitila tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Schaubi defends well and Laitila ends up having to push Schaubi into the ropes where they will battle it out in the clinch. Laitila shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Schaubi's guard. Schaubi trying to keep a closed guard but Laitila is proving a slippery customer.
Schaubi wants to sweep here but Laitila controlling him for the moment. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Laitila is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
