Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Minatay Mibangon (ranked 23918 p4p, 23938 weight class) and Walay Buut (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 30 - 50 - 9, fighting out of Las Vegas, Minatay Mibangon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 47 - 39 - 4, fighting out of Las Vegas, Walay Buut! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, George Francis and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Buut closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Mibangon struggling a bit here. Mibangon keeps Buut under control for a moment. Buut staying calm. Mibangon can't do much from the bottom here.
That's one minute gone in the round. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Buut staying calm. The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup. Let's hope that Buut has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Mibangon looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Buut wants to control but Mibangon is keeping busy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Buut might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Mibangon haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Buut is controlling Mibangon's position as best he can from this difficult position. Mibangon content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Mibangon seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Buut for as long as he can get away with. The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Mibangon closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Minatay Mibangon will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Mibangon takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Mibangon misses with a takedown and Buut decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Mibangon's guard. Buut seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Buut makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Mibangon pulls Buut in to control the position. Buut wants to control from the top but Mibangon keeps moving. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Mibangon shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Buut sprawls well. Buut wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Mibangon gets slowly back to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Minatay Mibangon. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mibangon stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Mibangon wants it to stay on the feet. Mibangon thinks about countering with a body kick. Buut displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Mibangon. Buut is trying hard to land a takedown here. Mibangon sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Buut has a takedown stuffed. And Mibangon counters with a quick kick to the body but Buut blocks it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Buut fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Mibangon avoids it really well and circles away. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Buut pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Walay Buut showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round! Buut fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Mibangon thinks about countering with a body kick. Mibangon looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Buut! Mibangon content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Mibangon trying to control the position but Buut is working away.

You can see the frustration on Buut's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Mibangon trying to control the action but Buut is working from the bottom. Buut manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mibangon is concentrating on defense, preventing Buut from advancing position. Mibangon trying to control from the bottom.
Buut with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Mibangon dives in and grabs Buut's left leg, looking for a takedown. Buut pushes down on Mibangon's head and hops out. Mibangon shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Buut defends it nicely. Buut feints the counter takedown.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Buut shoots in but no luck this time. Buut shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Mibangon but Mibangon pushes him off and we're back to square one. Mibangon thinks about countering with a body kick. Minatay Mibangon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Walay Buut. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Buut stuffs the takedown attempt from Mibangon. Mibangon gets slowly back to his feet. Buut steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect.
And that's the end of the fight! Minatay Mibangon showed his dominance in that final round. I think Mibangon has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
