PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mario Bario (ranked 5079 p4p, 4007 weight class) and Salvatore Douglas (ranked 251 p4p, 0 weight class). Bario has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Douglas throws a lazy right hand but Bario sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Bario jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.

Bario leaves Douglas with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A punch lands to the side of Bario 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Douglas shoots in but Bario avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Douglas throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Douglas goes for a double leg but Bario avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Bario continues to drive forward.
Bario thinks about countering with a head kick.
Bario moves out of range as Douglas strikes.

Bario uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Douglas.
Douglas throws a hook to the side of Bario's head but Bario sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Douglas shoots in for a takedown but Bario shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Bario looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit.
Bario steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Douglas.
Douglas tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Bario swivels and escapes.
Douglas closes the distance and clinches up with Bario, looking for a takedown. Douglas pushes Bario against the cage but Bario circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Bario moves away from the strike by Douglas.

Douglas closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Douglas is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Bario is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
