Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Billy Mack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Rambo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Billy Mack looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Billy Mack!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, John Rambo!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Russell Pearce and John Kavanagh.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mack throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Mack circles away from the clinch attempt.

Mack tries to keep at a distance but Rambo has taken the fight into the clinch.

Mack ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Mack no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Rambo stands up and waves to Mack to follow him.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mack drops back looking for a leg! Rambo is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Rambo manages to kick Mack off! Mack jumps back into Rambo's guard.

Rambo is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Rambo tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Mack.
Mack makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Mack.
Mack has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Rambo won't allow Mack to get back to his feet.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Mack tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Rambo paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Mack shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Rambo is in trouble now - Mack has advanced to mount!
Rambo tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Mack with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Rambo scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Rambo goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Mack has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Rambo but great work by Mack.

Mack scores with a nice shot to the head of his opponent. Rambo is looking for a way out.
Rambo is trying to break free.
Mack tries to get the hooks in deep but Rambo pushed the leg off.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Rambo is taking damage to the body and head.
Mack lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Rambo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mack. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Will Mack go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
Rambo is trying to get back to his feet but Mack has full control of the position and if anything, Rambo has just worked his way into a worse spot.

Billy Mack overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Rambo manages to stand up with Mack still on his back. Eventually Mack drops to his feet and we're back in the standing position.
Mack clinches but Rambo breaks the clinch
and Rambo counters with a nice uppercut.
Rambo wants to clinch up but Mack keeps it at a distance.

Mack has Rambo up against the cage in a clinch.

Mack stuffs the takedown attempt from Rambo. Rambo gets slowly back to his feet.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Billy Mack.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Mack, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
