Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kyoji Akawi (ranked 3410 p4p, 4048 weight class) and Jamison Hutchinson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Jamison Hutchinson enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kyoji Akawi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jamison Hutchinson!
The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Winston Alpacca and Bart Greer.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Akawi with a poor takedown
and Hutchinson cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Hutchinson cracks Akawi with a good jab.

It looks like Kyoji Akawi has been cut.
Akawi fails with the takedown

and Hutchinson counters with a nice right hand that sends Akawi toppling to the canvas! Akawi scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Hutchinson finish him?!
Hutchinson takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Akawi lands a body shot.
Hutchinson throws a right hand that Akawi ducks under and follows up with a left that Akawi also avoids with ease.
Hutchinson misses the shot to the body.
Akawi fails with the takedown
and Hutchinson counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Akawi thinking.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kyoji Akawi. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Akawi misses with a takedown attempt - Hutchinson sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
A little jabbing left from Hutchinson on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Hutchinson digs a good hook to Akawi's body.

Akawi tries to clinch up.
Hutchinson cracks Akawi with an open hand slap.
Akawi with a lazy takedown attempt
and Hutchinson connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Akawi drops his hands momentarily and Hutchinson takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Hutchinson comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
A head kick misses from Akawi.
Akawi is breathing heavily.
Akawi tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Hutchinson counters with a nice uppercut.

Hutchinson feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Akawi sprawling to the canvas! Akawi rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Hutchinson finish him?!
Hutchinson is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Akawi had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Hutchinson cracks Akawi with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Hutchinson has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Akawi to stand back up!

Akawi is rocked!
BOOM! Hutchinson lands a beautiful left hook that drops Akawi. Akawi tries to recover but Hutchinson is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Akawi lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
