Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jackson Oliveira (ranked 2210 p4p, 4398 weight class) and Luc Taker (ranked 163 p4p, 282 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Luc Taker!
The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Daniel Cesar and Luis Engracia.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Taker blocks the body kick.
Oliveira tries to land a front kick but Taker steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Taker will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Oliveira throws a head kick that misses.
Taker tries to counter by closing the distance.
Jackson Oliveira seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Taker tries to score a power double leg takedown but Oliveira sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Taker somewhat.

and Taker counters with a nice double leg into side control. Oliveira won't be happy with that.
What's Oliveira going to do here then? He's in a bit of a pickle.

Taker wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Oliveira, who protects the arm well.
Oliveira is not content to let Taker control the position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Taker throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Oliveira because Taker loaded up on that one.
Oliveira is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Oliveira definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Taker has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Oliveira is desperately trying to improve his position but Taker has a good base and remains in mount.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Oliveira might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Taker lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Oliveira lands a nice shot to the body.
Taker moves out of range as Oliveira throws a body kick.
Taker closes this distance looking for a takedown but Oliveira circles away.

Luc Taker is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Taker avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Taker looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it.
Taker shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Taker is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Oliveira fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Taker looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Oliveira throws a hook but Taker blocks it.
Both fighters circling a little - Oliveira finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Oliveira throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Oliveira digs a good hook to Taker's body.
Oliveira throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Oliveira punishes Taker's body with a nice straight punch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Taker moves forwards but Oliveira connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Oliveira is looking to land body kicks.
Jackson Oliveira is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Oliveira throws a push kick but Taker slaps the foot to one side.
Oliveira tries a head kick but it misses.
Oliveira throws a series of punches but Taker avoids them all with ease.
Taker will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Oliveira throws a quick counter kick to the body but Taker avoids it.
Taker has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Oliveira.

Taker takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Oliveira fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Taker manages to avoid it.
Taker raises up his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.

It looks like Luc Taker has been cut.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Oliveira.
Oliveira throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.

Oliveira cracks Taker with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Taker looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Oliveira finish him?

Taker is rocked!
Taker sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Taker is still on wobbly legs! Can Oliveira finish him?
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Oliveira. Taker shrugs it off though.
Oliveira comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Taker on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Taker takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Oliveira steps in with a hook that catches Taker right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Oliveira follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Taker looks absolutely devastated.
