Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Zahar Krulov (ranked 2652 p4p, 2537 weight class) and Pascal Popper (ranked 298 p4p, 286 weight class). Pascal Popper will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Zahar Krulov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Pascal Popper! The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, David Hoff and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Popper throws a big shot that misses. Krulov moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
It looks like Zahar Krulov has been cut. Krulov shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Popper as he jumps to the side. Krulov darts in looking for a takedown but Popper gets double underhooks and turns Krulov into the cage. Popper breaks the clinch.
Popper throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Krulov sees it coming and avoids it easily. Krulov looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Popper misses with an uppercut. Popper misses with an uppercut
and Krulov counters with a shoot takedown. Popper fights it but they end up in guard. Popper trying to control the position.
Krulov with a flurry of punches that miss. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Krulov accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Popper can do anything to dispel that myth. Krulov loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Krulov looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Popper is controlling Krulov's posture. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Krulov's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Krulov sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Popper's guard. Krulov sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Popper defending well though. Krulov working Popper over with strikes. Krulov slows the pace down in half guard. Krulov not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Krulov is taking a breather. Popper says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Popper is looking to improve his position.
Krulov seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Krulov thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Popper's head. Popper avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Krulov. Krulov is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Krulov seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Popper is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Krulov scores with a couple of nice shots. Popper really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Krulov. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Krulov drops an elbow to the side of Popper's head. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Krulov connects with a nice short shot to Popper's temple.
It looks like Pascal Popper has been cut. Krulov is looking to take a break and control but Popper is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Krulov lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked Popper! More strikes land and this one is all over! Krulov jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Zahar Krulov! Zahar Krulov tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
