This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the light heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Montreal, with a TWGC record of 3 wins and 2 losses; Ted Kona! And in the blue corner, fighting out of New York, with a TWGC record of 2 wins and 3 losses; Jacek Siuta!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Shigeki Fujiwara.


The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

Siuta looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Kona!

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Siuta working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kona doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kona manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Kona stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Siuta swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Siuta is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Siuta perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Kona makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Kona.
