PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Benjamin Ubarana (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dani Woodward (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Benjamin Ubarana!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dani Woodward!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Patrick Alders and Daniel Blasius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Woodward is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Ubarana has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Woodward can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Woodward stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ubarana swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Woodward got a little sloppy there for a moment and Ubarana has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Woodward has managed to get both his arms back between Ubarana's legs - danger averted.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Ubarana leaves Woodward with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Woodward closes the distance and pushes Ubarana back into the cage.

Woodward wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Ubarana has hold of one of Woodward's legs. Woodward is fighting the takedown attempt but Ubarana gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Ubarana drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Woodward dives on top into guard.
