Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Paul Tew and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Whitney connects with a body shot that sends Zipporinio's belly button to the back.
Whitney scores with a jab to the head.
Whitney connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Zipporinio scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Zipporinio is taking a breather. Whitney says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Whitney can do anything to dispel that myth.
Whitney really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Zipporinio. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Zipporinio is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Whitney is just riding it out for now. Zipporinio eventually gives up the hold.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Zipporinio takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Whitney changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Donk. Whitney catches Zipporinio right on the button with a cross.
Whitney scores with a hook.
Whitney throws a monster overhand right that drops Zipporinio! Whitney follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!
