Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Vepa Babayev!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Arthur Brade!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Cecil Peabody and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Babayev is looking to clinch but Brade is avoiding it.
Brade leaves Babayev with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Brade drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Babayev defends it well.
Babayev is looking to clinch.
Babayev throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Brade lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Babayev fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Babayev connects with a crisp jab.
Babayev doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Brade counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Babayev thinking.

Babayev shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Brade but Brade pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Babayev shoots in looking for a takedown. Brade tries to sprawl out of it but Babayev keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Brade manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Brade throws a counter combo.
Babayev lands with a thumping leg kick.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Babayev misses with a series of wild punches.
Brade unleashes a big counter combination but Babayev bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Brade should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Brade swats away the attempt to clinch by Babayev.

and Brade counters with a two punch combo.
Babayev shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Brade counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Babayev shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Brade pinned against the cage. Brade gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Babayev gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Brade counters by moving into the clinch.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Babayev drops down looking for an ankle pick but Brade pulls his leg out and moves away.
Babayev jabs at Brade's body.
Babayev doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Brade counters with a series of strikes. Babayev will be more careful next time no doubt.
Babayev is breathing heavily.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Brade blocks a head kick by Babayev.
Babayev closes the distance looking to clinch
and Brade counters with a straight right hand.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Arthur Brade dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Babayev dives in for a single leg takedown but Brade sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Brade wants to counter with a clinch but Babayev pushes him away.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Babayev has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Brade is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Babayev is looking to break free of the clinch but Brade has double underhooks.
Babayev has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Brade avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Babayev tries to pull guard but Brade won't allow it.

Babayev is trying to break the clinch but Brade is controlling him.

Brade swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Babayev is looking to control Brade's arms but Brade gets an underhook and turns him. Now Babayev has his back to the cage.

Brade pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Babayev throws out a leg kick but Brade moves out of range and Babayev only half commits.

Babayev shoots for a takedown but Brade saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Babayev clinches with his opponent.

and Brade holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Brade keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Babayev's efforts to push away.
Babayev jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Brade walks away with a smile on his face. Babayev gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Vepa Babayev is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Babayev looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Brade is fending him off so far but Babayev persists. Nope, Brade circles away and we're back to standing.

Babayev shoots and misses

and Brade counters by clinching up.
Brade pushes Babayev back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Brade lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Babayev backwards.

Babayev missing with knees to the body.
Brade avoiding damage.

Brade pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Babayev tries to clinch

and Brade counters with a crisp right hand that drops Babayev! Brade lets Babayev back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

Babayev is rocked!

It looks like Vepa Babayev has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Babayev looks for a takedown but Brade sprawls well.
Brade feints the counter takedown.
Oh Babayev is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

and Brade counters with a monster hook and another for good measure! Babayev falls to the ground, out cold! Stick some heavy metal music over the top of that clip and it's one for the highlight makers!
