The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Claw tests Ninja's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Ninja misses with a wild body shot.
Ninja shoots for a double leg takedown but Claw sprawls well. He's pushed Ninja's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Claw throws a leg kick but Ninja moved away.
Murilo Ninja seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Claw looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

We've been hearing reports that Ninja has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Ninja has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Claw is trying to keep an underhook but Ninja manages to get the takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ninja is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Claw.

Ninja is just content to waste time from the top position. Claw takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Claw has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Claw won't allow Ninja to get back to his feet.

Ninja shoots in for a takedown but Claw shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Ninja closes the distance and clinches up with Claw, looking for a takedown. Ninja pushes Claw against the cage but Claw circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Claw stuffs the takedown attempt from Ninja. Ninja gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Murilo Ninja. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Claw cracks Ninja with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Claw has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Ninja to stand back up!

Ninja is rocked!

It looks like Murilo Ninja has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Claw ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Ninja's jaw. Ninja's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold! Claw does the decent thing and steps back, rather than landing any shots to his unconscious opponent.
