Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 67 - 4, fighting out of Las Vegas, Clifford Val Salvacion!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Krzysztof Zakrzewski!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Robert Twigg and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zakrzewski doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Salvacion counters with an outside leg kick.
Zakrzewski shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Salvacion defends it nicely.
Zakrzewski tries to close the distance and clinch but Salvacion swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Salvacion thinks about countering with a body kick.
Zakrzewski changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Salvacion tries to avoid it but Zakrzewski manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Salvacion to the ground. Salvacion escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
It appears Salvacion was looking to counter with a kick there.
Clifford Val Salvacion has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Krzysztof Zakrzewski.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Zakrzewski tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Zakrzewski has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Salvacion jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.

Zakrzewski shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Salvacion as he jumps to the side.
Zakrzewski goes for a double leg but Salvacion avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Salvacion continues to drive forward.
Salvacion quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Salvacion drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

That was a close round but I would say that Clifford Val Salvacion will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

and Salvacion counters with a nice kick to the body.
Zakrzewski is trying hard to land a takedown here. Salvacion sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

and Salvacion counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Zakrzewski is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Zakrzewski closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Zakrzewski misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
