Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Lou Parisini!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Elliott Acosta!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, David Hoff and Dirk Anderson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Parisini getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Acosta misses with a lunging right hand
and Parisini counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Parisini misses with a head kick.
Acosta swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Parisini lands the left hand.
Acosta throws an ugly left hook that misses
letting Parisini counter with a right hand.
Acosta takes one to the side of the head.
Nice defenses there by Parisini.
Parisini lands a two punch combo.
Parisini scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Acosta doesn't seem bothered though.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Parisini avoids the body shot from Acosta.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Parisini, as that shot connected.
Parisini scores with a jab to the head.
Parisini scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Acosta throws a lazy uppercut
and Acosta takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Acosta clinches up against the cage.

That's one minute gone in the round.
A nice right hand lands inside from Acosta.
Parisini lands a nice uppercut.
Parisini tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Acosta.
Acosta scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Parisini swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Acosta pushes Parisini back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Acosta stalls.
Parisini's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Acosta has a couple of punches blocked by Parisini.
Parisini tries to score a body lock takedown but Acosta shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Parisini has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Acosta lands with a right to the head.
Acosta working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Acosta.
Acosta looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
A body shot lands from Acosta.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Acosta scores with a nice hook to the head.

Acosta breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Nice shot lands for Parisini.
Acosta looks to land a left hand but Parisini moved out of range nicely.
Parisini with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Parisini is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight.
Parisini ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Acosta uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Parisini has time to react.

Parisini shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Acosta is trying to defend but Parisini finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Parisini is looking to advance position but Acosta won't allow it.

Parisini is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Acosta can do anything to dispel that myth.
Parisini works his way into full mount!
Acosta wants to hold on but Parisini pushes him away.

Parisini looking to control and managing it successfully.

Parisini quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Parisini but it's paid off an Acosta is forced to tap! Nice work by Parisini.
