Perry tries to score a body lock takedown but Dalton shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Pacer Dalton has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kawainui Perry.

Dalton drops down looking for an ankle pick but Perry pulls his leg out and moves away.

Dalton seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Perry for as long as he can get away with.
This is a sustained period of stalling by Dalton.
Perry tries to bench press Dalton off him but Dalton keeps the position.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Dalton's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Dalton in particular looking to stall.

Perry is controlling an arm, preventing Dalton from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.

Dalton has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Perry's body.
