Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Waheed Saqqaf (ranked 2617 p4p, 24779 weight class) and Dave Alexander (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Saqqaf comes into the arena with The Endless River - Eternal Insomnia blaring out of the sound system. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Waheed Saqqaf!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dave Alexander!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Gregory Folan and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alexander is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Saqqaf bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Alexander fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Saqqaf avoids it really well and circles away.
Waheed Saqqaf seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Alexander attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Saqqaf stuffs the takedown attempt from Alexander. Alexander gets slowly back to his feet.
Nice body punch from Saqqaf.
Saqqaf misses with a jab, cross combination.
Alexander takes one on the chin but seems OK.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Alexander wants to clinch.
A quick step to the side and Saqqaf tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Saqqaf lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Saqqaf lands a big head kick that sends Alexander tumbling to the mat! Saqqaf takes a step backwards and waves Alexander back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Alexander is rocked!
Alexander walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Alexander is still on wobbly legs! Can Saqqaf finish him?
Saqqaf fakes the leg kick and cracks Alexander in the body.
Saqqaf throws a powerful right kick. Alexander tried to block low but the kick was high! Alexander was taken right off of his feet! Saqqaf jumps in to finish the job and the ref tackles him! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Waheed Saqqaf!
