The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santorino lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

It looks like Andrew Boyd has been cut.

Santorino throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Boyd's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Santorino connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Boyd scrambles back to his feet.
Boyd fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Santorino manages to avoid it.
It seemed like Santorino was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Santorino swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Santorino uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Boyd.
Boyd goes for a double leg but Santorino avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Santorino continues to drive forward.

Boyd avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Boyd shoots in looking for a takedown. Santorino tries to sprawl out of it but Boyd keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Santorino manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
A little jabbing left from Santorino on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Boyd throws a looping overhand right but Santorino ducks down to avoid it.

Boyd shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Santorino sprawls well. Santorino wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Boyd gets slowly back to his feet.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
