Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dawindi Buktot (ranked 23937 p4p, 23887 weight class) and Kulata Bitok (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 35 - 50 - 5, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dawindi Buktot! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 32 - 53 - 6, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kulata Bitok! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Wesley Smith and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Bitok keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Bitok looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Buktot throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Bitok's waist but Bitok gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Buktot off to one side. Bitok steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect. Bitok shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Buktot throws a quick counter kick to the body but Bitok avoids it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bitok throws a shot to the body.
Buktot shoots in and bounces Bitok off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Buktot looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Bitok is trying to keep Buktot in close.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Buktot slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Buktot wants to control from the top but Bitok keeps moving. Bitok looking to hit a scissor sweep but Buktot is one step ahead there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Buktot seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Buktot feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bitok is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Buktot wants to control from the top but Bitok keeps moving. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Dawindi Buktot dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! No luck with that takedown attempt from Buktot. Bitok shoots in for a double leg but Buktot sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Buktot quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect. Buktot is looking to land body kicks. Bitok was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Buktot feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Bitok holds on and takes a little breather.
That's one minute gone in the round. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Buktot controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup. Bitok seems keen to control Buktot's posture.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Buktot will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bitok shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Buktot as he jumps to the side. Bitok misses with a takedown attempt - Buktot sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. And Buktot counters with a quick kick to the body but Bitok blocks it. Dawindi Buktot has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kulata Bitok. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Buktot. Bitok replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Buktot blocks it well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Buktot looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. And Bitok responds with a good body kick, but Buktot manages to step out the way in time. Bitok fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Buktot thinks about countering with a body kick. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Buktot is defended easily by Bitok. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Dawindi Buktot dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round! Bitok fails with a takedown attempt. Buktot shoots in but Bitok avoids the takedown attempt easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Buktot gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Bitok to score an easy takedown into full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Buktot has his hands on Bitok's head, controlling the position. Buktot is trying to keep Bitok in close.

That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Buktot controlling the position. Bitok stopping the sweep attempt from Buktot. Bitok is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Buktot will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Bitok changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Nice sprawl there from Bitok as Buktot shoots in. And Bitok responds with a good body kick, but Buktot manages to step out the way in time. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dawindi Buktot. That's going to take a lot out of him. Bitok changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Buktot tries to avoid it but Bitok manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Buktot to the ground. Buktot escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. A quick step to the side and Buktot tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. Buktot shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Bitok defends it nicely. Bitok counters with a body kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Nice sprawl there from Buktot as Bitok shoots in. Kulata Bitok has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Dawindi Buktot is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Bitok keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Bitok counters with a body kick.
And that's the end of the fight! Kulata Bitok comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Buktot has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
